As some of you are aware, Keith Olbermann, he has a show on MSNBC “countdown” has been suspended. He’s been suspended from his own news program because he supposedly broke company policy. Olbermann was indefinitely suspended without pay for contributing $2,400 each to three Democratic candidates for Congress.
Apparently it is MSNBC company policy to disclose these contributions before hand.
Frankly this indefinite suspension is hardly warranted, it was no secret that Keith Olbermann was a Democratic Party supporter. His rise to fame was built on bashing the Bush administration for its endless war crimes, human rights violation, ignoring the Constitution and rampant corruption. His attacks against Fox “News” pundit Bill O’Reilly are now legendary. Unfortunately Olbermann has never proven to be more than an apologist for capitalism.
Olbermann’s political contribution of $7,200 is absolutely nothing compared to the vast majority of political party funding. Media Matters for America, said Fox “News” people “have endorsed, raised money, or campaigned for Republican candidates or organizations in more than 600 instances.” Hell, Fox “News” is basically a 24-hour infomercial for the Republican Party.
This to me is what is most infuriating: what Keith Olbermann has donated is absolutely nothing compared to how much the banks, financial institutions and oil companies have given both parties. Media personalities and all politicians from all branches of government are bought and paid for by these same ruling elites. At no point is this ever criticized. It is absolutely blacked out that the entire system is bought and paid for. Every politician, including the so-called anti-corporate Paul family, are nothing more than paid employees or the corporate elite.
It seems as though Keith Olbermann is the only one fit to be punished.
