US National Security Man Murdered

In a shocking turn of events, a former senior Pentagon official John Wheeler has been found dead. His body was discovered New Year’s eve in a landfill in Delaware. The police have ruled the death a homicide. Wheeler was 66 years old.

According to eyewitness testimony, the man was last seen on the evening of December 30th. The eyewitnesses say the man appeared “very confused” and was described as “a man disoriented and so disheveled that he was mistaken for a homeless person.”

While Newark police have ruled the death a homicide, they have not released a cause of death. On Tuesday the FBI announced that they would be joining the investigation.

Retired Lt. Gen. Tom McInerney, former Air Force assistant vice chief of staff has publically called for an investigation into the murder. McInerney has stated that he believes Wheeler’s death was a professional hit job, but was unable to say why someone would want him dead.

The Philadelphia Inquirer quoted an anonymous Philadelphia Inquirer that stated there was an explosive device planted at the home of one of his neighbours. No official statement has been made regarding it.

While no theories have been presented for the murder, Wheeler was attempting to make high end universities allow the Reserve Officer Training Corps to operate on their grounds.
