3 Koreans Dead From Antarctic Boat Fire

South Korean officials have announced that three members of a fishing boat are missing after it caught fire in the Antarctic. The boat caught fire in the Ross Sea, 600 km or 374 miles north of the US McMurdo Antarctic base. 37 members of the Jeong Woo 2 crew manged to survive, with serious burns. Despite the rescue efforts of two other fishing vessels, 3 fisherman are unaccounted for and are presumed to have died in the fire.

Unfortunately both rescuing boats are trapped by serious fog and ice conditions. A US research vessel with an on board medical facility is currently headed to help with the situation.

No word yet on how North Korea will be blamed for the incident.
