When the Startfor files were released by WikiLeaks, some of those files showed that the Pakistani government knew Osama bin Laden had been hiding in a mansion just outside Abbottabad. Stratfor is a privately owned Zionist intelligence gathering company contracted to the CIA. Earlier last month the hacktivist group Anonymous broke into the company’s system and released 5 million emails detailing just about everything the company was involved in. The leaked information showed that Osama bin Laden was also in routine contact with “several senior figures from Pakistan’s military intelligence agency.” This was revealed in a leaked email.
“Mid to senior level ISI [[Inter-Services Intelligence]] and Pak Mil [[Pakistani military]] with one retired Pak Mil General that had knowledge of the OBL [[Osama bin Laden]] arrangements and safe house,” wrote Fred Burton, Stratfor’s vice president of intelligence, in an email.
The letter to Kamran Bokhari, Stratfor’s regional director for the Middle East and South Asia, is dated May 13. Which means it was sent only a few days after the compound where bin Laden was said to be hiding was raided on May 2nd last year.
The Pakistani government speaking about the incident denies that it had any knowledge of bin Laden’s whereabouts. “They are nonsense and not credible,” a spokesman for Pakistan’s General Athar Abbas told Al Arabiya. The US made a similar claim after the raided the compound and Pakistan denied the claim then too. Unfortunately the claim made relations between the US and Pakistan worse as the US and much of the public did not believe their denials.
This incident proves one thing, despite all the conspiracy theories that will be developed as a result, we do know someone was not being honest. I firmly believe that Pakistani government did know where bin Laden was the whole time and did not let the rest of the world know about it. This can mean one of two things, either Pakistan was protecting bin Laden. Or they were protecting their links to the events of 9/11. If you’ll remember, the 9/11 Commission said that the funding for the operation came from the ISI but ceased to do any investigation from there.
