It appears as though the Kony 2012 movement has suffered somewhat of a set back. Jason Russell, the CIA puppet behind the Kony 2012 movement has been arrested by the San Diego police yesterday for public masturbation, vandalizing cars and some form of intoxication according to police reports. In a police press conference, Lt. Andra Brown said he “was no problem for the police department however, during the evaluation we learned that we probably needed to take care of him.”
Video footage of his uncontrolled disturbing behaviour was obtained by celebrity gossip site TMZ.com. In the video Jason Russell is standing on the corner of a street naked, slamming his fists on the ground and screaming like a “maniac”.
Once under arrest the police said that Russel was being taken to a psychiatric hospital so that he may undergo a psychiatric exam. The police said he was arrested without incident and stated that he will not be charged. There seems to be no confirmation on the report that he was vandalizing cars.
Ben Keesey, the CEO of Invisible Children has left a public statement about Russell’s situation:
“Jason Russell was unfortunately hospitalized yesterday suffering from exhaustion, dehydration, and malnutrition. He is now receiving medical care and is focused on getting better. The past two weeks have taken a severe emotional toll on all of us, Jason especially, and that toll manifested itself in an unfortunate incident yesterday. Jason’s passion and his work have done so much to help so many, and we are devastated to see him dealing with this personal health issue. We will always love and support Jason, and we ask that you give his entire family privacy during this difficult time.”
This incident comes at a bad time for the Kony 2012 movement, already the masses of the world are beginning to become skeptical of the movement and its distribution of donated money. Its highly suspected that the donated money is being given to the Ugandan military which itself uses child soldiers.
Personally I have suffered from exhaustion and dehydration, and at no point have I ever decided to take off my clothes and hit the ground repeatedly. The form of intoxication was suspected to be alcohol, but police have yet to confirm or deny that it was.
The Kony 2012 movement is a scam, don’t fall for it.
