Signalfire has seen the light so to speak. The re-blogging service has decided to close its doors because, he,  “no longer consider the so called “International Communist Movement” with its proliferation of cultish microsects and blind worship of failed past movements to be worth promoting. ” His reason is absolutely correct. It’s something I pointed out three years ago while I was being denounced as a reactionary by people, including Signalfire.

Western Maoism on the other hand is simply irrelevant and the sooner people realize this, the sooner we can begin developing a communist politics which relates to 21st century reality. Nor is this exclusive to Maoism. Regurgitation of the sectarian platitudes of anarchism, Trotskyism or Stalinism in whatever variant and in however intellectually sophisticated a form has little to offer in a apocalyptic future which none of these prophets expected. There is no easy alternative answer, simply the necessity of systematic and rigorous theoretical work beginning from the basic materialist premises and united with modest and serious intervention in social reality.

This statement is absolutely true. In fact, I was pointing this out three years ago. Maoism and communist theory, in general, has been failing for years. This is why people, including Signalfire, have been bashing Third Worldism. The LLCO and I have been repeated targets of people like this. This is why so many First Worldist groups have attacked me and the LLCO so viciously. Personal attacks, baseless accusations, etc. We have tried to push revolutionary science forward while people like them have tried to hold it back by sabotaging our efforts. “Western Maoism on the other hand is simply irrelevant and the sooner people realize this, the sooner we can begin developing a communist politics which relates to 21st century reality.”

I’ve seen the First World Maoist movements freaking out about this post. The writing is on the wall and they refuse to see it. Signalfire has seen it. There is no need to abandon revolution as so may First Worldists have (not saying Signalfire has). The science of revolution must be pushed forward with new ideas that correspond to new realities. The Leading Light Communist Organization has done that, I have tried that.

This is what LLCO founder Prairie Fire said a decade ago. He said, “They’ll have to come to our conclusion eventually. When they do, they’ll come over to our new line, or they’ll drop out of the movement.”

“We must be willing to study the question of revolution. We must understand what past revolutions have done right, and what they have done wrong. We must reject the bourgeois nonsense that has taught us that socialism and communism are dirty words. We must not be afraid to be Leading Lights, to lead, to be the vanguard.”
